CLIPPER
In a electronic device , a clipper is a circuit designed to prevent a signal from exceeding a predetermined reference voltage level. A clipper does not distort the remaining part of the applied waveform .
A clipper circuit can remove certain portion of an arbitrary waveform near the positive on negative peaks or both.
The various type of clipper are as fellows:-
- Serious positive clipper.
- Serious positive clipper with bias.
- Serious negative clipper.
- Serious negative clipper with bias.
- Shunt positive clipper.
- Shunt positive clipper with bias.
- Shunt negative clipper.
- Shunt negative clipper with bias.
- Dual (combination) clipper.
